Raccoons

These miniature bears are the cause of most of the worst kinds of damage I see in attics, crawlspaces and basements. They are normally mild tempered and skittish of humans but most likely they will NOT interact with pets very well. They have poor eyesight but have a very keen sense of smell. They also have an impressive ability to sense airflow which will often lead them to a crawlspace, attic, or under a deck porch, etc. A pregnant female will generally gives birth from mid spring through the summer and she will often be destructive trying to gain access to a space to have her litter. Once a litter is born the female can be aggressively protective of her young. Raccoons can produce a latrine around the property which is highly recommended to be removed. Raccoon feces are toxic to humans and can carry a specific type of round worm. Like a lot of animals there is not a one size fits all method but depending on the situation I have a variety of methods to safely exclude them.
